The Rochester Hills City Council has rejected Mayor Bryan Barnett’s request to withdraw funding from Community Media Network and send an extra $93,000 to the city's general fund... After hearing from supporters and users of CMN’s services, council rejected the city’s argument.
“I have never encountered another agency that has been so warm and inclusive … as CMN,” said Annette Downey of Community Living Services, which serves a disabled population. “We have been very proud of the city of Rochester Hills for funding such a wonderful program.”
