Courageous Persuaders Awards Event 2017 was held on May 3, 2017 at the Emagine Theatre in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Courageous Persuaders is a high school video scholarship competition that was created to make a difference in tragic statistics related to death and underage drinking. It was built upon the premise that older high school students have a tremendous influence over their young middle school peers, and if used efficiently and positively, this influence would make a difference in these statistics. High School students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to use their creative talents to create 30-second television commercials that stress the message of the dangers of underage drinking, while middle school classrooms judge and determine the scholarship winners.
